Michael Piracci is Senior Counsel for ErisX, a regulated, transparent and secure venue for the digital asset market. He is helping pioneer one platform for spot and regulated futures contracts in digital assets. He joins ErisX from ScotiaBank where he was Director of Compliance. Previously he was the FCM Chief Compliance Officer and a Director in Agency Derivatives Services (ADS) Compliance at Barclays Capital Inc.  Mr. Piracci was previously the Head of Products and Markets Compliance for Barclays Wealth and Investment Management, Americas and prior to that was the US Head of ADS Compliance.  Immediately prior to joining Barclays, Mr. Piracci was Of Counsel at the law firm of Morgan, Lewis and Bockius, where he advised clients on federal commodities and securities laws and regulations.  Mr. Piracci has held senior roles at National Futures Association in the Office of General Counsel and the Compliance Department.  He was also an attorney in the CFTC’s Division of Clearing and Intermediary Oversight.
